Highest quality, Niagara+™ Water Softeners reduce the levels of "hardness" minerals, calcium and magnesium, in your water supply. Modest amounts (up to 3ppm) of iron can also be eliminated with these softeners. Higher amounts of iron may also be treated with optionally available resin media.

All Water Softeners include the following:

- Specified resin tank size with 1" riser tube and top distributor basket

- 14x14X36 Square or 18x33 Round Brine Tank with tank to valve brine line

TWIN ALTERNATING configurations (below) maintain service flow through only one of the vessels at a time. The unit held off line is in the "standby" mode. Typically, a twin/alt softener will only utilize one meter. When it counts down to zero, the signal for regeneration is sent to the control. Two things happen at this point… the standby unit is brought on line to provide soft water, and the exhausted unit begins to regenerate. After the regeneration is over, the vessel goes into the standby mode, waiting for the meter to zero and start the process again.
